I have been using Trastra now for well over a year and am happy to recommend their service. There have been no problems.
The whole system works OK.
You transfer your Bitcoin into Trastra and you then have the choice to covert it to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP as well as some US dollar tokens. I have been using the Euro card but they are available in pounds also.
Customer service is timely and polite. They let you know in advance if their system is going to be going offline for a short time. When I have had trouble (for example messed up phone numbers during a payment causing codes not being sent) they sorted it out within minutes of being contacted.
The app is very easy to use. The only thing I would say about it is that the phone app logs you out really fast, which I asked them about and this is apparently some sort of compliance security rule. A good thing I suppose.
The app works great though and is a nice representation of their web based system.
Although I haven’t really used their system for buying Alt coins the exchange from BTC to their card has always been seamless.
If you have BTC that you want to spend as FIAT, then this is a pretty ideal solution. I did have a Wirex account previously and this is just as good if not better than that.
The card itself has not let me down in use. When I did use it load up money onto another account and accidentally put the wrong number in the card was quickly locked and I was easily able to get it working again after contacting customer service.
It’s nice when things just work.
Having said that, I have to be honest in that I have witnessed one network outage the other morning. They didn’t announce it. It lasted around an hour and then was back online. When I contacted them they did tell me about it then. I’m just glad I wasn’t relying on it that moment. I guess most places have small outages.
It didn’t put me off their otherwise good services.
They have been expanding their offering and now allow you to send and receive Euros to anybody using the SEPA system.
